“Janet would *probably* cringe (or laugh!) at my using the word "fairytale" to describe her and Urmil's epic nuptials, but I'm doing it anyway, ha! The bride, already one of the most chic + stylish clients I've ever had the pleasure of working with, knew she wanted the wedding design to be modern + a little edgy, but also romantic. With multiple ceremonies and guest experiences woven throughout the wedding day, we had the freedom to play with a fluid design concept that evolved as the night progressed. The morning Hindu ceremony was all about modern garden romance — lush florals and wild roses cascaded down the corners of a contemporary, softly-draped mandap — while the evening celebrations shifted into a more modern + edgy romantic black tie soiree, with avant-garde sculptural clouds of baby's breath floating above tablescapes of onyx stoneware, blind-embossed menus, acrylic cut table numbers, and of course, a one-of-a-kind Jasmine Rae cake. It was such an incredible experience collaborating with Janet + Urmil, Vignette Floral, and Lotus & Ash to bring this (modern!!) fairytale to life.”
