“I laughed out loud when, during one of our first calls, Annie said to me: "you're not going to get any help from us on the wedding design. We have no style." While it's always a thrill for me to be given carte blanche, I wanted to make sure that what I created for Annie + Michael would not only be a vision they loved, but one that would harmonize beautifully with the dramatic landscape of Yosemite Valley. So I decided to start the process by helping the bride with a decision that was truly personal and all her own — finding her perfect dress. I sent her to Vera Wang, as I had a strong suspicion she would fall in love with one of their iconic gowns, and she did! The gown gave off vibes of a dreamy chateau wedding, which absolutely clicked, as the couple's venue — the distinguished Ahwahnee Hotel — was known for its legacy of hosting royalty and presidents. The final wedding experience was one of classic beauty + timeless elegance that fit the couple (and their delighted guests!) as perfectly as Annie’s Vera Wang gown.”
